Official statistics from CBS
Yres ships a ready-made source for the open data of Statistics Netherlands (CBS StatLine). You only enter the identifier of the CBS table you want; the feed address, anonymous access and paging are already fixed. Yres retrieves the table on your schedule through the CBS OData feed and places it in the Azure SQL database in your own Azure tenant. There you can join the CBS figures, such as population or regional data, to your own data and use them in Power BI, without anyone downloading files.

What you arrange yourself
- 1Find the table you need on opendata.cbs.nl and note its identifier (the table code).
- 2Add a source in Yres, choose the CBS type and enter the identifier under Dataset.
- 3Pick a load type that processes the full table and schedule how often it is refreshed.
- 4Join the CBS table in your data warehouse to your own data, for example on municipality, region or period.

A standalone connector is enough if…
If you need a CBS figure once, for a presentation or a one-off report, simply download the table from StatLine. No data warehouse required.
Yres adds value if…
Yres earns its place when CBS figures are a fixed part of your reporting: revenue or client numbers set against inhabitants per municipality, or benchmarks against national figures. The table is then refreshed on schedule, sits in the same data warehouse as your own sources, and nobody has to keep an Excel file up to date.

Which CBS tables can Yres load?
Any table CBS publishes as open data through StatLine. All you need is the table identifier, which you find in the CBS data portal or through its catalogue service. When adding the source you enter one dataset.
Do I need a CBS account or API key?
No. The source works anonymously because StatLine is open data. Nothing has to be registered in Azure either: no app registration, no client secret. The only thing Yres records is the feed address.
The CBS API returns at most 10,000 cells. Does Yres hit that limit?
No. That cap applies to the standard CBS API. Yres reads the feed variant, which CBS offers for retrieving large volumes of data, and follows the follow-up pages automatically. Large tables therefore arrive complete.
What happens when CBS updates its figures?
On the next load Yres retrieves the table again. With the FULL load type new records are added and changed records get a new version, while the previous version is kept. History is only dropped if you deliberately choose OVERWRITE.
